INDIVIDUALS
In individual therapy, I initially focus on exploring the reason for seeking therapy and working to understand what conditions have contributed to the current problems. Further sessions may explore family dynamics, traumatic history, cultural and religious background, health problems, various life stressors and relationships that are causing people to suffer. I pay attention to somatic or bodily sensations that may be contributing to people's current experience. I have specific experience with creative individuals, as well as with parents who are struggling with balancing the demands and stressors of modern life. My approach is uniquely tailored to the individual & highly relational.

COUPLES
I am very passionate about working with couples to help them escape patterns of blame and conflict. My work with couples focuses on helping resolve how couples get pulled into damaging habitual ways of relating. I take a leadership role in couples therapy and help couples develop relational skills to create their preferred relationship. I have experience working with LGBTQ couples as well as bi-racial and multicultural couples.I am a PACT (Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy) Level 1-trained therapist, PACT was developed by Stan Tatkin and is a powerful approach to deal with the stuckness couples often come to therapy for.

FAMILIES
I help families to separate themselves from the problems that are oppressing their family dynamics. I work with parents to help them identify the cyclical patterns that they find themselves falling into and explore ways they can create more satisfying and harmonious familial relationships. Family therapy can be very difficult when members of the family are emotionally dysregulated. I help people slow down their nervous systems and work towards better self-regulation so they can cope with the problems they face as a family and communicate in a calm way that promotes connection.
